Oroton unveils their new-look store

Published on 08 August 2019

OROTON's first new retail concept store in Canberra, the first to debut the brands first full ready to wear range, launched under Creative Director, Sophie Holt, will open on Friday 9th August.

A blueprint for further stores, Canberra will be the first which speaks to the new chapter of OROTON, acting as the launchpad for its redesigned logo and the showcase of the full range of apparel. With a fresh look and feel, the design direction of the retail space is refreshed and contemporary. The inspiration is everyday luxury, which is in line with OROTON’s brand identity as one of Australia’s oldest heritage brands. A curved shopfront gives way to a feeling of separate spaces, with apparel represented in each of the rooms. Design features include raffia painted wallpaper, consciously used to create depth and add texture within the space. Custom made resort style tables made in rattan and cerused oak screens throughout brings the aesthetic back to its Australian roots, whilst catering to a global customer

Renowned architect Don McQualter, the creative force behind other retail fit-outs including Zimmermann and Scanlan & Theodore, was commissioned to bring the brand vision to life.

The OROTON store is located on Level 1, opposite Nespresso, and marks the first phase in a larger roll out plan.
